Andre’s future as a Texan:

The Texans star WR, Andre Johnson has been recently upset by the way the organization has been managed and the lack of success the Texans have experienced lately. During all twelve years he has played as a Texan, the team has only had three winning seasons and just two trips to the playoffs.

With that said, Johnson is questioning his future as a Texan, and also indicated that he wouldn’t attend team activities such as mini camp and OTA’s if it started today.

It’s clear that the veteran WR wants to win and he dosen’t have much more time left to wait.

Andre Johnson has currently three years left on he’scontract and the only way to leave the team is to get cut or traded, but that’s the Texans Decision not Andre’s.

The Texans would have about $11 million in dead money if they cut him, but if he gets traded, the Texans can get a great deal with a WR needy team.

Now that i think of it, it wouldn’t be a bad idea if the Texans traded Andre Johnson, i don’t see him playing for much longer, he will eventually have to retire some time soon and when that happens, the Texans will be in trouble trying to find another big time WR like Johnson, but if they trade him, they can get some additional picks in the first round in the next draft and a little extra money which they could use in the market by singing a younger WR free agent.Remember that Julio Jones, Brandon marshal, Dez Bryant and more big names receivers will be Free agents next of season.

If Johnson leaves this season, the Texans will struggle on offense especially since they have a rookie QB under center, but eventually, in a few years this trade will pay off.

My biggest concern is that the Texans have a young offense and a new coaching staff, whom i don’t expect to succeed right away and if the Texans let their experienced veteran WR go, Tom Savage won’t have a clutch receiver to throw to, so they will have to lean in their running game with a healthy Arian Foster.

Despite Andre Johnson’s disappointment I really don’t Think the Texans are going to let their star receiver go because they need him.

I understand his desperation to win and I know the Texans haven’t given him the opportunity to do it as he would’ve liked; but part of it is because the Texans are such a young franchise.

The Texans have built more talented group than many of their division rivals and if they find a way to use all their weapons, the texans can be a contenders again and maybe in a few years be champions for the first time.
